About the Summit

The Socio-Cognitive AI Summit gathers researchers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and the social sciences for a day of talks and discussion at the University of Chicago.

The summit is hosted by the New Forms of Socio-Cognitive AI initiative, a University of Chicago research community spanning sixteen project areas — from AI scientists and persona space to human memory, robot ethnography, and the geometry of knowledge representation. The day brings together the initiative's faculty, students, and invited guests to share results from the first year of work and chart directions for what comes next.
